Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

1. Introduction

This Acceptable Use Policy (this “AUP“) governs your access to and use of the Cloud Services, website, AI features, and document processing tools provided by Nojumi Solutions Inc. (“Nojumi“, “we“, or “us“). This AUP is incorporated by reference into our Cloud Services Agreement and Website Terms of Use.

By accessing, uploading content to, or using the Cloud Services, you agree to be bound by this AUP. If you do not agree to this AUP, you must not access or use the Cloud Services.

2. General Prohibited Uses

You may use the Cloud Services only for lawful internal business purposes and in accordance with this AUP. You agree not to use the Cloud Services:

• In any way that violates applicable federal, provincial, territorial, local, or international laws or regulations (including data privacy, court publication bans, or export control laws).
• To transmit, upload, or procure the sending of unauthorized advertising, promotional material, spam, or unsolicited chain letters.
• To impersonate or attempt to impersonate Nojumi, a Nojumi employee, another user, or any other person or entity.
• To restrict, inhibit, or impair anyone’s use or enjoyment of the Cloud Services, or expose Nojumi or its users to legal liability.
• To engage in, promote, or facilitate the unauthorized practice of law or present AI-generated outputs as formal legal advice without review by a qualified legal professional.

3. Legal Source & Intellectual Property Restrictions

When submitting or uploading documents, case law, articles, statutes, or legal sources (“Customer Data”) to the Cloud Services, you agree NOT to upload, process, or ingest material that:

• Breaches Third-Party Database Terms: Infringes or violates the terms of service, subscription licenses, or proprietary restrictions of commercial legal publishers (including but not limited to Thomson Reuters, Westlaw, LexisNexis, or CanLII proprietary annotations).
• Contains Proprietary Editorial Content: Contains proprietary headnotes, key-number taxonomy systems, index structures, or copyrighted commentary from legal publishers unless you hold explicit, written rights or licenses permitting third-party AI processing.
• Violates CPD Material Rights: Reproduces or ingests non-public Continuing Professional Development (CPD) course booklets (such as those issued by the Law Society of Ontario or other law societies) beyond personal practice license boundaries without rightsholder permission.
• Violates Third-Party IP: Infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, or moral rights of any individual or corporate rightsholder.

4. AI Safety, Model Security & System Integrity

To protect the integrity, security, and performance of our artificial intelligence infrastructure, you strictly agree NOT to:

• Prompt Injection & Jailbreaking: Input prompts or instructions designed to bypass, disable, override, or subvert Nojumi’s system guardrails, safety filters, system instructions, or AI behavioral boundaries.
• System Prompt Extraction: Attempt to reverse engineer, extract, scrape, or reveal underlying system prompts, model instructions, system architectures, or AI workflows.
• Competitive Training: Use the Cloud Services, AI outputs, or generated analysis to build, train, fine-tune, benchmark, or validate competing artificial intelligence models, algorithms, or software products.
• Automated Scraping & Bots: Use any robot, spider, automated script, scraper, or data extraction device to monitor, harvest, or extract data, AI outputs, or system traffic from the Cloud Services.
• Malicious Code: Introduce any viruses, trojan horses, worms, logic bombs, or other software or material that is technologically harmful.
• Infrastructure Interference: Overburden, disable, damage, or impair Nojumi’s servers, databases, AI token processors, or network infrastructure.

5. Content Standards

These content standards apply to all Customer Data, text inputs, document uploads, AI prompts, and interactions submitted to the Cloud Services. All submitted content must NOT:

• Contain any material that is defamatory, obscene, fraudulent, abusive, harassing, violent, or inflammatory.
• Violate the legal rights (including rights of personality, publicity, court sealed records, publication bans, and privacy) of others or give rise to civil or criminal liability.
• Contain unencrypted personal health information or sensitive personal data that violates applicable Canadian privacy legislation (including PIPEDA or provincial health privacy laws) without proper authorization.
• Be intended to deceive, defraud, or misinform any person or tribunal.

6. Professional Responsibility & Human Oversight

• Lawyer Supervision: The Cloud Services are designed to assist legal professionals with research and legal analysis. The Cloud Services do not replace professional legal judgment.
• Mandatory Review: Lawyers and Authorized Users remain solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and validating all AI-generated citations, legal principles, factual applications, and analytical outputs before relying on them, submitting them to courts/tribunals, or communicating them to end-clients.

7. Monitoring, Enforcement & Suspension

Nojumi reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to:

• Monitor System Usage: Monitor platform activity, document uploads, API calls, and AI processing metrics to ensure compliance with this AUP and detect security threats or system abuse.
• Take Corrective Action: Terminate, suspend, or restrict your access to all or part of the Cloud Services immediately, without prior notice, for any violation of this AUP or unauthorized legal source upload.
• Cooperate with Rightsholders & Law Enforcement: Disclose user identity or account information to legal publishers, rightsholders, law enforcement authorities, or courts claiming unauthorized copyright upload or illegal activity.
• Forfeit Tokens/Balances: Immediately suspend virtual wallet access or forfeit AI Tokens associated with fraudulent or unauthorized automated API usage.
