The ILA manager’s main goal is to ensure you are fully protected when you are asked to complete an ILA for a guarantor or a consenting spouse a day or two before closing. It provides the solicitor with a detailed checklist to ensure all key areas are covered with the client at the meeting. The ILA manager allows the solicitor to identify the documents the solicitor finds concerning and produces a reporting letter to the client with a summary of the solicitor’s advice. If the client decides to sign contrary to your advice, it generates an acknowledgement for the client to sign.
